Following the end of a season which saw Otley Town win the Wharfedale District Cup and finish fourth in the league, the club has added to the first team management group. Joining First Team Manager, Richard Suddes and Head Coach, Andy Foster are Rob Pell and Andy Howland, both of whom have many years of experience in non-league football.

The appointments provide additional depth and experience to the management team as the club have been invited to join the Premier Division of the West Yorkshire League next season (2022/23).

Former Guiseley striker Pell will join the team as Assistant Manager with Howland, a former Eccleshill player, being assistant coach. Both will continue to be available to play as well as their new roles.

Chairman Kai Arter said “Both Andy and Rob have been around the club for some time now in a playing capacity and are great characters to have around the dressing room. They have both helped out with the team previously and Richard, Andy and myself are delighted that they have agreed to become part of the management team in more formal roles. We are delighted to have been invited to move up the Premier Division next season and have already started planning for the season ahead.”

Pre-season training starts on Tuesday 28 June at the Old Showfield with a number of pre-season fixtures already in the diary as the club prepare for a return to the top division of the West Yorkshire League. New and old players are welcome. Otley Town run four Saturday senior teams and a veterans team and looking to strengthen across all sides.
